Why You Need Strong References Employers want references to verify: your relevant experience, skills and other specific areas of interest your character, trustworthiness, reputation, credibility if there is more to learn about your capabilities, attitude, weaknesses how you performed, what you accomplished your communication, interpersonal, management style if you are likely a good fit for the company, team or manager warning flags, inconsistencies in what other people say about you insights into how to best manage & support you You need to supply an interviewer with at least 3 Referees.
